The Cultural Heritage Society presents the 4th Annual Binational History Conference. The 5-day Conference kicks off on Wednesday, August 21-25, 2024, in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. The conferences will take place at the Museo de la Revolacion (MUREF). The 3-day activities are hosted by the Instituto Nacional de Antropologia in Mexico City, Mexico and the state office of the National Institute of Anthropology and History in Chihuahua, Mexico. Transportation for Conference attendees that would like to participate in Ciudad Juarez will be available. The Conference will continue on Friday afternoon, on the Historic Camino Real in El Paso County, in San Elizario, Socorro, and the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo in El Paso, Texas. The Conference will focus on the Heritage, Culture, and History for the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, as it relates to the El Paso County area. It will feature over 15 speakers over the five days. The conference is free to the public. The Conference will also feature a Cultural Exposé of Native Mexican and American dance and crafts, Spanish and Mexican Traditions, Foods, and Music, and a tour of the two missions, the presidio chapel, and the Ysleta Pueblo del Sur Cultural Center, on the El Paso Mission Trail. The Sister City Ceremonies will take place on Saturday, August 24th in San Elizario and Socorro, Texas including various Cultural activities and workshops. The event will end on Sunday, August 25, in San Elizario.
