World Water Week at UTEP: Re-Valuing Water March 22-25th 2021

World Water Day (WWD) is celebrated on every March 22, since 1993. This day recognizes the importance of freshwater for every human being and the planet that we inhabit. UTEP’s One Water Cluster and the We Are Water Working group invite you to join us for a week of cultural, community and academic activities to explore water from an interdisciplinary and regional perspective.

Drawing from the global WWD theme “Valuing Water,” we have organized the week’s agenda under the theme of “Re-valuing Water.” This theme provides an opportunity to contemplate our everyday connections to water, from how we use water in our households to water’s existence in nature. We hope to create an interdisciplinary forum in which campus and community voices can join together to look at the topic of water from a diversity of perspectives. Activities are meant to inform, challenge and encourage action as providing an opportunity to build relationships for future research, activism and creative collaboration around the topic of water. All activities are free and open to the public but you must register on the website or Facebook in advance.
