UTEP’s Somos Agua/We Are Water—an artist-led collective within the interdisciplinary research group One Water Cluster—will host the second edition of World Water Week at UTEP from March 21-26, 2022. The events will be on and off campus, and will feature live interactive performances, symposia on water topics, information stations, and more.
The global theme for World Water Day 2022 is “Groundwater: Making the Invisible Visible.” This theme provides an opportunity to contemplate our impact on the health of our water systems and the importance of groundwater for the availability and access to safe water for ourselves and all our living relatives we share it with. UTEP’s World Water Week activities are meant to inform, challenge, and encourage action.
We invite the UTEP community — academic units, student groups, and community groups to participate in this exciting week of activities. All events are free and open to the public. UTEP’s World Water Week is facilitated by a collaboration between the Rubin Center for the Visual Arts and the Center for Environmental Resource Management at UTEP.
