Things To Do
Built in the 1970’s and located adjacent to the El Paso Convention Center, the Abraham Chavez Theatre welcomes patrons with a three-story high glass windowed entry and unique sombrero-shaped architecture making it a distinct feature on El Paso’s southwestern landscape. Beaming lights, arched staircases, creative entryways and luminescent chandeliers add to its rich decor. The lobby offers 20 entrance doors at the front of the building, with more than 5,000 square feet of lobby area. The Abraham Chavez Theatre is full of glamour, sophistication and style. The theatre is named after Maestro Abraham Chavez who was the longtime conductor of the El Paso Symphony. Today the theatre is home to the El Paso Symphony Orchestra, El Paso Opera and a number of large-scale concerts and shows.
