Each hole was named after a different stop on the historical Butterfield Overland Mail Company route, which operated for three years in the mid-1850’s, carrying mail and passengers from Missouri to San Francisco.
Located on the Franklin Mountains in West El Paso, Coronado Golf & Country Club offers a truly unique country club experience. This year round 18-hole private club was built in 1956 and sits at an elevation of 4,700 feet, each hole is different from the one before, from elevated tees to finely groomed greens, challenging every club in your bag.
Desert East Golf Driving Range is a full-service golf practice facility. The fully lighted facility is open for practice until 10pm, 7 days a week.

Lone Star has become The Public Golf Course of El Paso, yet one will feel as if they were at a premiere private club. Between the friendly staff, the well groomed greens, and the excellent food in our restaurant, one might say they have found an Oasis in the desert.
Rave reviews keep coming for this championship desert-style 27-hole golf course which has been given 4 1/2 stars and ranked the second-best municipal golf course in the nation by Golf Digest in 1991. Travel & Leisure magazine placed it in the Top 100 courses under $100. There’s a complete practice facility with driving range, chipping, pitching and putting greens.
For great golf in the Southern New Mexico desert, there is one top course to play – Sonoma Ranch. Opened in 2000, this course offers challenging golf and spectacular scenery amidst the mesquite and brush covered desert.
